Statutory Assessment Service (KS1 & KS2)

A range of advice and access to a team of advisers to assist with assessment including teacher assessment.

Why use this service?

The Education People, on behalf of Kent County Council is able to provide academies, free schools and participating independent schools with support in all aspects of the assessment processes at Key Stage 1 [phonics] and Key Stage 2, helping to ensure that all statutory requirements are fully met.

What is included?

To select Kent as your statutory assessment provider, you must purchase the Statutory Assessment Service (KS1 and KS2) for the academic year 2024-2025.

The Service Package includes:

  • E-mail and telephone access to a team of advisers able to give advice relating to assessment including teacher assessment and statutory testing
  • regular newsletter updates with:
    • Advice on the Phonics Screening Check (where applicable)
    • Advice on the security and delivery of optional KS1 and statutory KS2 tests
    • Advice on access arrangements
    • Advice on statutory end of key stage teacher assessment
  • access to three assessment network meetings for school assessment leaders.

There will be additional charges for monitoring and moderation visits.
