The role of the clerk to governors is evolving and being strengthened to help support good governance.  This facilitated development programme will progress your skills and experience, supporting you to meet these new demands.

New or experienced clerks from maintained schools, academies and free schools can apply.

The programme includes:

  • Face-to-face training sessions
  • Online learning
  • School-based activities
  • Mentoring.

The National Chairs Development Programme is delivered under licence by Hampshire County Council. Kent, along with other South East Coordinator of Governor Services, are delivery partners of Hampshire County Council.
