CPD Online - New Account Help

I've logged into CPD online, what does this screen mean?

If you have just logged into CPD Online for the first time with your The Education People account, you will be asked to indicate if you are new, or have used CPD Online before.

Do I need to merge?

  • If you are completely new to CPD Online and have never used it before, you do not need to merge. Please click through to complete new user setup
  • If you used CPD Online before we became The Education People in June 2018, you need to merge your old account with your new account.

What has changed?

When CPD Online became part of The Education People in June 2018, we changed our systems to use a single user account (email address and password) to access several of our services, including the website theeducationepople.org, and the individual training platform, CPD Online.

Users who had an existing CPD Online account before this time are required to create a new account with The Education People, and merge the data from their old account.

I can’t remember if I have used CPD Online before

If you are unsure if you have used CPD Online before, you may find it helpful to search in your emails for ‘CPD Online’.

If you find messages from before June 2018, this indicates that you did have an old account, and will need to complete the merge process with a new account.

If you are still unsure, please email or telephone the CPD Online help desk - cpd@theeducationpeople.org or 03000 418000 and the team will be able to help you find out if you have an existing account or not.

I need to merge my account, but I can’t remember my old username and password

If you have forgotten the username or password to your old CPD account, please proceed with the merge process. You can request a reset using the ‘Forgotten username or password?’ link on the merge screen.

Please note you won't need to use your old log in details again after your account is merged. In future, always use your new The Education People account.
