Governance Conference

Brief overview

If your school is a current subscriber to the Governor Services Training Package, please book a place via your GovernorHub account. 

Following the positive feedback we received last year, our Governance Conference will again take place face to face and will be for all Heads, Governors and Clerks.

Whilst the full agenda is still being finalised we wanted to give you a taster of the subject areas and keynote speakers.

The Assistant Director of Education, North Kent, Ian Watts, will be providing best practice around complaints. 

We have the Area Manager for North Kent for the Kent PRU and Attendance Service, Maxine Gamage, who will be providing advice and guidance around suspensions and exclusions and the role of the Board. 

Back to revisit performance related pay and the changes that have come into place that should be mirrored in your policies, will be Lirette Mill from HR Connect. 

Siobhan Price will be delivering a keynote on SEND and the national picture and how that is reflected locally. 

Finally, we have Charlotte Harding from the National Governance Association who will be talking about recruitment, retention and governing board workload and how we can work smarter.
