Regardless of which phonics programme your school is using, teaching and learning need to be of high quality in order to secure the best outcomes for children. Most school practitioners have now been trained in their own synthetic, systematic phonics programme, but that doesn't mean that everyone's practice is as effective as it could be. Some colleagues may be new to your school, or to their current year group, or may simply lack confidence and experience.
This two-part course, with intersession tasks, aims to address any potentially weaker areas, such as correct pronunciation of phonemes, correct segmenting and blending skills, not to mention sustained good teaching. Delegates will feel more confident in their subject knowledge and skills, by sharing this focused, supportive learning environment.
