Brief Overview
The course will provide delegates with key information and practical ideas based on DFE guidance, research and best practice in improving pupil attendance.
Delegates will receive an Attendance Audit which can be used to evaluate their school's current practice and support them in identifying areas for development.Learning Outcomes
- Identify barriers to good pupil attendance.
- Develop strategies to improve poor pupil attendance.
- Understand the expectations of Ofsted in relation to pupil attendance.
- Understand how to monitor persistent absentees and show impact on outcomes.
- Understand the strategies required to safeguard pupils with poor attendance.
- Develop a school culture of responsibility and improvement by design for attendance.
- Know and understand most recent guidance and research.
