How Do Children Learn? Executive Function in the EYFS

Brief overview

This course will focus on the research that underpins the importance of Executive Function and how the understanding of this enables EYFS educators to fully support and optimise how children learn. It will provide practical approaches and strategies for how this can be identified and effectively planned for in EYFS provision with children aged 2 - 5.

Learning outcomes

Educators will be more confident with how Executive Functioning can be supported within the classroom and how this can be articulated, provided for and assessed. This will enable them to optimise learning opportunities for all children across all aspects of the Curriculum.
