End of Key Stage 2 Statutory Assessment Update

Brief overview

This half-day course is designed for experienced Year 6 teachers who are already familiar with the KS2 statutory assessments.

The session will focus on:

  •   Updates and Changes: A clear and concise summary of any new or revised information from the Standards and Testing Agency (STA) regarding the latest KS2 assessment arrangements.
  •   Effective Strategies: Practical guidance and strategies to support your Year 6 pupils as they approach and prepare for their end-of-key-stage assessments.

 Please Note:

This course is designed for Year 6 teachers who are already familiar with the Year 6 curriculum and the End of Key Stage 2 (KS2) statutory assessments. 

If you are an early career teacher (ECT) or haven't taught Year 6 recently, we recommend our "End of Key Stage Statutory Assessment Arrangements Full Day" course running on 19 November 2025  OR 18 February 2026 . This comprehensive training day provides a deeper dive into conducting teacher assessments at the end of KS2.

Learning outcomes

  • Delegates will receive a concise summary of the relevant changes and constant features to the Key Stage 2 assessment arrangements.
  • Specific guidance will be given in the management and delivery of the tests and teacher assessment of writing.
  • There will be a mixture of input, discussion and opportunities for asking questions.
