Embedding Inclusive Practice through the Core Standards

Brief overview

The Education People are delivering training for Primary and Secondary Kent pastoral and academic Middle Leaders. The training is delivered in two sessions.

Session one:

Explores how the Mainstream Core Standards can support high quality inclusive practice and provision. Developing a universal approach to supporting all pupils including those with SEN.

Middle Leaders will be introduced to a Mainstream Core Standards audit tool that will support them in their role and enable Middle Leaders to identify strengths and areas to develop.

Session two:

Explore high quality inclusive practice, resources and approaches to support pupils in the classroom and school environment.

There will be the opportunity for Middle Leaders to share their own experiences and practice with colleagues from other settings.  Participants will revisit and reflect upon their Mainstream Core Standards Audit – what developments and progress have taken place since they initially completed the audit and identify areas to further explore and develop.
