Brief overview

Out of School and Wraparound Provision.

This half day non-chargeable training will support practitioner's/staff's understanding of play and playwork in the context of out of school/wraparound care. Through a range of activities, this interactive, playful, play-based workshop focusses on how to create inclusive play environments which enable children to experiment, explore and learn through play. It will support with guidance, to equip playworkers/staff working in out of school/wraparound provision with knowledge and skills to understand and support children’s play, and develop their roles within the playwork context.

Important Information:  This course is invitation only.  Relevant OOS and Wraparound Provisions will be e-mailed with an invitation to book.  If you have not been contacted directly your booking may be cancelled.

 

Learning outcomes

  • To develop your understanding of play and playwork within the context of out of school/wraparound provisions.
  • To consider and explore the roles of staff/playworkers within the context of out of school/wraparound provisions.
