About Tracy

Tracy is a highly respected member of The Education People team, bringing extensive experience and specialist knowledge to her role supporting pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL). With a strong background in both primary and international education, she is passionate about ensuring every child can access the curriculum and thrive, regardless of their language background.

Before joining The Education People, Tracy taught English at an international school in Paris, following nine years as a primary class teacher in Lambeth. Her teaching career has always been rooted in inclusive practice, with a particular focus on supporting new arrivals, refugees, and pupils developing English as an additional language.

Tracy’s areas of expertise include the teaching and learning of English as a second language, EAL assessment, the identification of EAL and SEN overlap, and the development of academic literacy skills for advanced learners of English. She is also experienced in shaping policy and practice around equality, diversity, and inclusion—ensuring that schools are welcoming and supportive for every learner.
