Brief Overview

This interactive workshop aims to provide educators with a comprehensive overview of the new government’s educational agenda. The session will encourage open dialogue, allowing teachers to share their experiences, insights, and concerns. Participants will engage in discussions about the potential challenges and opportunities that arise from the new policies, fostering a collaborative environment for problem-solving and innovation.

We will also look at the initiatives and policies focused on primary and secondary education and the impact of these on teacher standards, assessments, and accountability.

The session is relevant for Primary and Secondary Teachers at any stage in their career.

  • have a clear understanding of the new government's educational agenda and the impact on teacher development opportunities
  • get to grips with teacher recruitment and retention by examining pathways for recruiting and retaining quality teachers, including financial incentives and professional development opportunities
  • explore necessary government actions to support schools and teachers
