The characteristics of effective primary science education
This conference for school leaders, science subject leaders and teachers draws together the elements which need to be in place to ensure a high quality science education for all primary pupils. Speakers and workshops will focus not only on the importance of the components of a great science curriculum and its underpinning pedagogy but also how these should be used to speak pupils’ curiosity and explore the subject more deeply.
Considering all pupils from Early Years to Year 6 and referencing the latest evidence through the Ofsted subject report and EEF Guidance Report, the workshops, including those from Jan Dubiel and Andrew Berry will also consider how opportunities in science can be made accessible to all pupils from all backgrounds.
