Autism Education Trust on Making Sense of Autism & Developing Toileting in the Early Years

The Autism Education Trust's training materials and modules are approved by the Department for Education and the NAS to support practitioners and those working in mainstream and specialist early years settings nationwide.

Who is this training for? This is for childminders and practitioners in a range of Early Years Settings, including preschools, nurseries, children’s centre's, and schools.

Learning outcomes

On completion of this training you will:

  • Enhance your understanding and awareness of autism and how autism can affect children in the Early Years.
  • Know the importance of understanding the individual child and their profile of strengths and needs.
  • Develop an understanding of how autism can impact upon a child's toileting.
  • To build awareness of strategies that can be used to support autistic children with their toileting development.
