Brief Overview

Aimed especially at those new to leading performance appraisal, this half day course will focus on ensuring that the performance appraisal process is robust, developmental and drives school improvement. It is suitable for senior teachers and leaders responsible for the performance appraisal of teachers and teaching assistants.

Learning Outcomes

  • Consider the pivotal role of performance appraisal in driving school improvement, supporting career development and clarifying accountability.
  • Develop skills in setting SMART performance appraisal objectives.
  • Develop understanding of how to lead clearly focused professional conversations throughout the performance appraisal process.
