Brief Overview

This half day training course will support practitioners to plan and deliver rich provision for developing phonological awareness. 

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the importance of phonological awareness in developing early language and literacy.
  • Explore how a wide range of age appropriate play based activities, rhymes, games and songs can target specific aspects of phonological development.
  • Reflect on and audit current practice in relation to successfully supporting children's progress in early phonics.
