A one day workshop that will give staff the skills and expertise they need in order to train people with disabilities & disadvantages in using public transport.

A one day workshop that will give staff the skills and expertise they need in order to train people with disabilities and disadvantages in using public transport. The course focuses on the natural method and the importance of planning before any training is undertaken. As with all courses it will use a wide range of training methods but most importantly all delegates will be expected to use public transport in order to apply their learning in a practical session.

  • How to conduct a N.D.P.I. (Non-Disabled Persons Inventory)
  • The importance of identifying and dealing with Natural Consequences
  • Using technology in planning routes
  • Data collection as a form of risk assessment
  • Practical session using public transport
  • How to deal with negative attention
  • Independent travel training best practice
