This webinar is designed to support individuals or groups of teaching practitioners who work with all children who struggle to read, including SEND – whether as a teaching assistant, class teacher or reading leader. Guidance could be suitable for pupils within the primary or secondary age-range.

  • To explore different ways in which children are likely to struggle with their reading.

Delegates will enhance their current knowledge of how we all learn to read. They will be guided towards ideas for good practice in teaching techniques which support their pupils, reaching beyond mainstream classroom practice. Also, delegates will be encouraged to consider specific problems which serve as barriers to reading, for the individuals they teach.
