Module one explores the common causes of workplace fires and the actions to take to prevent them. You will also look at fire safety and evacuation procedures.

Module two explores the legal requirements placed on individuals with responsibilities for premises in relation to Fire Safety in a bid to help you achieve compliance.

Module 1 overview:
In this module, you will learn about common causes of workplace fires, the preventative measures that you can take to reduce the risk of fire and how to react in the unfortunate event of a fire occurring. This course contains the following topics:

  • Causes of fire
  • Fire prevention
  • Evacuation procedures


Module 2 overview:
This module is designed to raise the awareness of the legal requirements placed on individuals with responsibilities for premises in relation to Fire Safety in a bid to help you achieve compliance.

To achieve this we will discuss current fire safety legislation, outline the risk assessment process, look at evacuation plans and duties of the Responsible Person, and describe example duties of the Fire Controller/Fire Warden.
