Creating an integrated, coherent and quality professional development cycle is crucial in supporting teachers to improve and so to ultimately improve outcomes for all pupils. It is arguably the key factor in school improvement. This course will explore practical ways to develop your professional learning cycle and ensure that it is meeting the needs of individual teachers and wider improvement strategies.
Delegates will be supported to devise a professional development cycle that:
- focuses on whole school and individual learning needs within a shared teaching and learning framework
- considers how to map cycles of improvement and how to link these with the Early Career Framework
- considers how the use of developmental coaching can support this cycle
- shares examples of best practice and research.
