What is the Kent Childminding Pre-Registration Course?

The Kent Childminding Pre-Registration Course will support you as you embark on your childminding journey. This is an informative and comprehensive package, that together with separate paediatric first aid training, covers all aspects of setting up and running a successful childminding business.

The course comprises of a mixture of E-learning modules, webinars (with supporting fact sheets) and two one-to-one virtual childminding adviser support sessions plus a home learning activity. These sessions provide an opportunity to consolidate learning. It is a supportive programme with the individual put at the centre of the learning process.

E-Learning

This E-learning course will cover The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), which is statutory guidance written by the Department for Education (DfE) and sets out the legal requirements involved in caring for children under five. It will also introduce you to the key documents that all practitioners need to successfully implement the EYFS.

This E-learning course covers the things you will need to be aware of in terms of safeguarding, as well as Kent processes. Safeguarding is a statutory requirement of the EYFS.

This E-learning course will help you consider the information and records you are required to keep and how you can ensure that you adhere to relevant legislation.
