Recognising, recording, reporting, addressing and preventing racist incidents

The Inclusion Support Service Kent (ISSK) offer advice, support, guidance and training to help schools to recognise, record, respond to and prevent racist incidents.

Racist incident training

Racially motivated incidents occur both in and out of school, this is often due to media or community influences. To ensure that pupils are aware of the seriousness of racially motivated incidents and bullying it is vital that a whole school approach is adopted.

Through our bespoke training staff will develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to:

  • Recognise, record and respond appropriately to racist incidents and bullying
  • To actively prevent discrimination through the development of whole school policy and practice
  • Comply with the schools’ legal responsibilities and Ofsted guidance.

Inclusion Support Service Kent (ISSK) support, consultancy and bespoke training can be bought:

  • Through the Inclusion Support Service Kent (ISSK) Service Level Agreement (SLA)
  • Using School Improvement credits (half day - 30 credits, full day - 60 credits)
  • Ad hoc (half day - £300, full day - £600) +VAT if appropriate.
