Bewl Water Outdoor Centre is a truly outstanding venue for outdoor education and residential trips.

Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, we are the perfect base for a weekend or residential week. Combined with the great facilities and excellent equipment our friendly, highly qualified professional staff will make learning and adventure fun. The Centre is AALA registered as well as being Royal Yachting Association and British Canoeing approved. Groups staying at Bewl Water Outdoor Centre can either take part in a variety of taster activity sessions or develop established skills.

We welcome groups of all ages with activity programmes tailored to the needs of each group. During a typical week a group may take part in a variety of team building and problem solving activities, raft building, orienteering, canoeing/ kayaking, group walk, stand up paddleboarding, sailing, axe throwing, archery and more. When a group book they let us know what they hope to achieve and we build a programme accordingly.

Our residential centre (built in 2007) is well equipped and can accommodate groups of up to 44 young people plus 4 staff. The rooms are en-suite and the centre includes a dining and lecture room (or social area). We offer a fully catered menu, chosen to offer a healthy and filling three meals today!

All specialist equipment for the activities is provided by the centre (buoyancy aids, waterproofs, climbing harnesses, helmets, etc.). A recommended clothing list is included in the information sent out when a visit is booked. All our instructors are first aid trained and NGB qualified.

Bewl Water Outdoor Centre is DDA compliant and we have a suitable en-suite bedroom for residential group members with disabilities.

Residentials are offered all year round (although activities will differ depending on the weather).
