Our School:
Brenzett C.E Primary School, in the Romney Marsh area just South of Ashford, is seeking to extend our After School Club Hours from 3.15pm to 5.30pm. To be competitive as a school, we need to keep up with the demand for childcare from our working families. We are seeking an external provider to help us with this phase of our development and therefore invite expressions of interest from a childcare provider to run both our Morning and After School Club provision or just After School Club provision.
We have two possible spaces for this facility. Currently our school-led wrap around care is based in Sliver Birch Room, a purpose built nursery with adjoining toilet facility for younger children and a disabled toilet nearby for our older ones. There is a small kitchen area and adjoining garden so the children can play indoors and out. There is a phone with its own extension number so parents can contact the WAC directly if the office is closed.
We also have an additional class-room with direct access to the play-ground. This room is used for learning groups through the day but could be re-purposed as a wrap-around care facility before and after school. There is a sink area and the overall space is larger than Silver Birch Room. There is a large cupboard which could be used to store WAC resources as well as spaces under the sink unit. Outside, the children have two play sheds with equipment that could be used by the provider, on the understanding it is well looked after and put away after use.
We are seeking providers who:
- will offer high-quality and inclusive early years and/or childcare provision
- have good behaviour management strategies and a commitment to building positive relationships with the pupils, staff and families
- shares our school values of Respect, Community, Gratitude, Resilience and Friendship
- will work collaboratively with the school to develop and sustain effective communication and a working partnership
- can demonstrate an effective business model for the provision.
Please note this is an expression of interest. An application pack will be sent to all interested parties with details of the service to be provided, application instructions and how the school will score submissions.
If you would like to register your interest, please contact the Head Teacher, Mrs Rowan Wright, on 01797 344 335 or contact the school office via: [email protected]
