To access Kent Supported Employment you will need to meet the following:

• at the age of 16 or above
• you live in Kent or Medway
• additional barriers to finding a job because of your disability, health condition or disadvantage
• you would like to find paid work.

Yes, you can access Supported Employment if your primary barrier is mental health.

Yes, we support people that have an EHCP but also support those who don't. Your EHCP may cease when you begin support with us.

Yes, as a service we can support you in both. However, we would work with a training provider who would support you with the training.

As we support people throughout Kent. We will meet you somewhere local for you.

Places we could meet you include:

• Kent County Council Offices
• Gateways
• Libraries

We can discuss this with you at your initial meeting where would be best. We will not usually meet you at home.

You will need to let your Employment Support Officer know as soon as possible. You can call or text them on their work mobiles.

There is no set timeframe for when or how long this will be, this will be down to you to be motivated and committed to keep pursuing opportunities. As we said everyone, we support is different so the time it takes to find a job will be different for each person.
