'Tomorrow’s Workforce Today' in partnership with Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce

The Education People is partnering with The Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce to present a panel event with some of the top names in business and education, in order to inform local business people about the future of education and how getting involved can help shape your business.

The employment landscape is changing. Many industries are expecting skills shortages and businesses have been keen to employ young people and work with schools to help support their careers work. However, this has not been easy.

There is a lot going on, nationally and locally. Therefore, Kent County Council and Medway Council have asked The Education People to re-energise and develop the Kent and Medway Guilds to bridge the gap between young people, the wider community and employers to develop a pipeline of work-ready staff for Kent and Medway businesses.

Businesses are invited to attend a free employer’s breakfast on 04 March 2020 from 8am at Ashford International Hotel, which will launch the new look of Kent and Medway Guilds, provide an opportunity to network and plan to create the workforce for tomorrow and browse the market place where you can talk to experts on skills, education, small business funding and support.

The Education People is pleased to announce that Paul Andrews (CEO of JobsinKent.com) is the Panel Host and will be joined by Roger Gough (Leader of Kent County Council), David Knox (Principal Apprenticeship Lead, The Education People), Eileen Bishop (Department for Work & Pensions),  Alicia Moyles (Head of Specialist Employment, The Education People), Georgina Angele (Regional Lead – South East, The Careers & Education Company) Kevin Bush (Regional Manager for Electrical Contractors Association) and Barbara Cooper (Corporate Director of Growth, Environment and Transport, Kent County Council).

If you’re an employer that is excited about the changing landscape and how you can get involved in shaping the future workforce please register for the event here: https://www.kentinvictachamber.co.uk/events/tomorrows-workforce-today/
