A guide to monitoring: blog post by UK Safer Internet Centre
The Education Safeguarding Team have received a number of queries from concerned headteachers and governors who are anxious to ensure that their school has "appropriate filtering and monitoring' in place in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2016. The UK Safer Internet Centre have recently published a helpful blog post that explains what filtering and monitoring is, explores the different options available, and considers how schools can ensure that they are meeting Ofsted requirements and best protecting children. We would advise all school leaders to access this content to help them to understand the current expectations, and to enable them to evidence that they are meeting the statutory requirements.
