Brief overview

If your school is a current subscriber to the Governor Services Training Package, please book a place via your GovernorHub account.

We are in a Climate Emergency and a Biodiversity Crisis and education settings play a vital role in nurturing environmentally aware global citizens as well as supporting the wider Net Zero carbon emissions targets. In 2022, the Department for Education launched their Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy to positively impact, influence and inspire communities by improving the sustainability of the environment in and around education settings and improving the knowledge and understanding of children and young people.

This training will focus on how governing boards can support schools to prioritise environmental sustainability as a key part of their school and/or trust strategy and enable a whole-school approach.
