End of Key Stage 2 Statutory Assessment Arrangements

Brief Overview

A one-day course to familiarise colleagues who are new or returning to teaching Year 6 with the end of Key Stage 2 statutory assessment arrangements. The course aims to provide information for teachers and colleagues who are unfamiliar with, or who have not recently administered, the end of Key Stage 2 statutory assessments.

 

Delegates should ensure they have access to:

  • Teacher Assessment Frameworks at the end of Key Stage 2 for 2018/19 onwards
  • The 2024 reading, mathematics and grammar punctuation tests and mark schemes
  • Delegates may wish to have access to a sample of their pupils' evidence for writing to assist with group discussions

Learning Outcomes

  • Delegates will receive detailed information about teacher assessments for the end of Key Stage 2.
  • There will be an opportunity to discuss the assessment materials available, including the tests and teacher assessment framework.
  • There will be a mixture of input, discussion and opportunities for asking questions.
