Phonics Screening Check Training

Brief Overview

This two-hour online training session is for all administrators of the Phonics Screening Check and will provide guidance on how to administer the statutory check correctly. It will be particularly important for all new administrators of the check to undertake this training, in order to be sure of correct practice. 

Learning Outcomes

  • Delegates will understand the statutory process required in administration of the Phonics Screening Check for pupils in both Year 1 and Year 2.
  • They will be given guidance about how to prepare for, and administer, the check in 2024 in order to meet the Standards and Testing Agency guidelines.
