KS2 Mid-year Assessment: Gap Analysis Workshop

Brief Overview

This half-day workshop will allow teachers to work together and alongside trained moderators to carry out gap analysis in writing at KS2. Its prime purpose will not be to verify teachers' judgements at this stage, but instead to support and promote rapid progress by identifying next steps for children, set against age-related expectations.

Learning Outcomes

  • To provide a supportive and professional network to identify what has been achieved so far, and where pupils' next steps should be.
  • To clarify and sharpen future planning and pupil targets, in order to promote achievement and progress for the whole class.
