Brief Overview

Ygam are an award-winning charity working to prevent children and young people from experiencing gaming and gambling harms though awareness raising, education and research.

To support our mission, we provide training and resources to professionals who have influence over children and young people.  

Learning Outcomes

The Gaming and Gambling Awareness and Harm Prevention: Supporting Children in Care workshop has been designed for foster carers, residential childcare teams, and those supporting children in care. 

Upon completion of the workshop, you will:

  • Have an increased understanding of gaming and gambling
  • Understand why children in care might game/gamble and the additional vulnerabilities they may face.
  • Be able to recognise the signs of gaming and gambling harm and know where to get further support for the children in your care.
  • Gain a City & Guilds Certificate and Digital Credential.
  • Have access to a copy of the presentation slides and resources for use with the children in your care.
