Financial Controls - FMS6 Update

Brief Overview

This session is open to Local Authority (Kent) schools only.  The session is aimed at school-based finance staff who would like to update their knowledge of FMS6 financial management and controls in accordance with the Scheme for Financing Schools and KCC’s Financial Controls.  

The session will include a presentation by a guest speaker who is an expert in their field. 

Although this course is aimed at all finance staff there will be an expectation that delegates attending will have a basic level of knowledge/understanding of school finance.

There will be various briefings and presentations on the following 

• updates on FMS6 procedures such as the use of online payment to suppliers (BACS) using FMS6
• online ordering (KCS Integration)
• emailing purchase orders to suppliers
• using the IR35 Tax Legislation before processing invoices from individuals (Training Team).
