What we do

Kent Supported Employment supports individuals with disabilities to ensure each client has the same chance to seek sustainable employment as those without a disability.  This is achieved by using the Supported Employment Model as prescribed by the British Association of Supported Employment (BASE).  Working alongside people with disabilities, ill mental health and other disadvantages, the Supported Employment team provide ongoing advice and support for both employers and employees.

We can offer a bespoke specialist supported employment service for people with disabilities and/or disadvantages, who have an EHCP.


• Professionally matched work placement for up to 3 days per week, 52 weeks per year
• Professional Employment Support Officer and Job Coach support with both the client and employer
• Vocational profiling and careers guidance
• Measurement of student journey with detailed action plans and assessment tools
• Suitable for 16 – 24 year olds
• In-work Job Coach support, inclusive of weekends and evenings
• First point of contact for employer
• Help sourcing further placements, training and employment
• Health and Safety Checks for all placements carried out by professionally qualified staff
• Direct support with transitioning clients from school
• Professional support with employer HR issues
• Liaising with staff and parents to support transition

Pricing

£2,400 per student for 3 days per week supported internship management/support per academic year.
