The statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (KCSIE) 2020 requires all staff working in schools and colleges to undergo safeguarding and child protection training. This training should be provided at induction and be regularly updated in line with advice from the local three safeguarding partners. In addition, all staff should receive regular safeguarding and child protection updates as required, and at least annually, to provide them with relevant skills and knowledge to safeguard children effectively.
To support Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) in schools provide staff training themselves in line with national guidance and local Kent processes, the Education Safeguarding Service have produced a PowerPoint presentation template and supplementary guidance document.
By purchasing this downloadable resource pack, you will be granted access to a PowerPoint presentation and PDF document to use for the Academic year 2020-21.
