The Education Safeguarding Service act as Designated Safeguarding Lead for education services as required by Section 11 Children Act 2004 and Working Together to Safeguard Children. This includes providing an advice and support line for independent education providers, such as schools and settings, on safeguarding issues which Social Services and/or Early Help do not have a statutory responsibility to provide. Such advice and support includes escalation of professional concern and enabling providers to fulfil their statutory responsibilities relating to general safeguarding concerns.
