This E-learning course has been developed by the Education Safeguarding Service to enable experienced Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL) and Deputy DSLs in early years settings in Kent to refresh their knowledge and skills and meet the welfare requirement as outlined in ‘Working Together to Safeguard Children’ and the ‘Early Years and Foundation Stage’.
This course explores specific procedures and support available in Kent, including Integrated Children’s Services and the ‘Front Door’. DSLs working in early years settings outside of Kent can access this course, however, they will need to undertake independent research to ensure they understand their own local guidance and processes.
