Why Should People Take This Course?

This course will enable staff to recognise and respond to a variety of safeguarding concerns and explores current national and local safeguarding guidance, as well as best practice policy and procedures. It is important that once staff have completed the training, they find out their own organisations specific child protection policies and procedures. This course has been developed for organisations participating in the Holiday Activities and Food Programme (Kent), however the content may be appropriate for other non-education settings or organisations working with children and young people, such as youth groups or sports providers.
