Kent County Council Insurance Scheme

The Insurance Team provides a comprehensive insurance package through Kent County Council’s Safehands Insurance Programme, which has been specifically designed to protect against many of the adverse risks schools have to face.  Please be aware that this insurance scheme is for Kent County Council (KCC) maintained schools only.

Public Liability insurance
Schools covered by KCC arrangements have Public Liability insurance of £50m.  You can download current confirmation of the cover from the Insurance Section on the Kelsi website and issue the document to anyone requesting evidence of cover.

Motor Vehicle Notification
Schools planning to purchase/hire a new vehicle which will require cover under their insurance arrangements with KCC should download and complete the Vehicle Notification Form which can be found on the Kelsi website and email it to insurance@kent.gov.uk as soon as vehicle details are known.  Any additional premium due will be collected under The Education People's monthly direct billing arrangement for schools.
 
The KCC Insurance Scheme is provided by Kent County Council.
