Supporting Two Year Olds Through Sensory Play
Why does a two year old have to touch, taste, smell, hear and see everything? You will explore the importance of sensory development in young children. A range of practical opportunities to demonstrate the impact of sensory learning will be shared, and you will discuss how you can support and stimulate children’s senses within your provision.
This half day training will support you to:
⦁ explore how and why children learn through their senses and the importance of this type of play
⦁ review your environments to ensure there are opportunities for sensory play
⦁ offer new ideas for exciting practical activities and recognise how the characteristics of effective learning are fostered through sensory play.
Up to 25 delegates can attend this event.
