Kent Progress Tracker Intervention Tool
Early Years providers have access to a variety of additional funding for example, Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP), Special Educational Needs Inclusion Fund (SENIF) and the Disability Access Fund (DAF). This money can be used in a variety of ways, including the purchase of specific interventions to support children’s learning and development. The way it is used must be evidenced by providers to show the difference it has made on children’s progress and outcomes.
The Intervention Tool is designed to measure impact and improvement in the three prime areas of learning. It allows for the comparison of up to four interventions or funding streams. Points of progress are identified across the development matters age bands and can therefore show progress over differing periods of time.
The Intervention Tool will enable you to:
- Analyse and compare the progress of children receiving a particular intervention, or accessing a particular funding stream
- Plan appropriate interventions or allocate specific funding, with regard to individual needs, to promote improved outcomes and support school readiness
- Demonstrate the impact of a particular intervention/s and justify the use of additional funding allocated for individual children and groups of learners.
Please note -
Following the release of the final EYFS and non-statutory Development Guidance, The Education People, Kent County Council and partners are working to produce a progress model tool.
This tool will support the identification of children with Special Educational needs and Disabilities and dovetail into Kent processes for accessing support. We anticipate that this tool will be available in term 6.
