Threads of Success Funded Support

Providers that remained open during the Covid-19 lockdown period (24 March - 30 May 2020) to support the children of Critical Workers and those whom were vulnerable, will be eligible for funded support through the Lockdown Recognition Voucher (LRV) scheme.

If you are eligible, you will have received a letter from Alex Gamby advising the amount you are eligible for.

The LRV should be redeemed between 5 October 2020 and 31 August 2021, on training (either via CPD Online and/or bespoke support for your individual provision) and/or on the available range of products.

For information, the LRV can be used for any bookings made from 5 October 2020 and does not apply to any bookings already made. Additionally, it cannot be used to reduce or clear any existing debt.

We will keep a reducing balance as you redeem your LRV against CPD Online training, bespoke support, products and E learning and will advise you of your balance after every spend.

Please do not share your LRV code outside of your setting’s management team or with other settings who may not be eligible for LRV.

Anyone using your code who is not eligible OR if you have overspent your LRV budget you will be liable to pay the full cost of service or product received.

If you have forgotten your code please email

CPD Online
  • To redeem some of your LRV funding for any CPD Online training, please book in the usual way: Redeem LRV Funding.
  • When making a booking please ensure that in the Booking Requirements field you add your code. This will ensure that your setting is not charged for the session and we can deduct the LRV spend from your allocated LRV fund.
  • Non attendance: Please note that if you book and do not attend the full course, the fee will still be deducted from your LRV.
  • For info, the EYDSL Zoom Course is included.

Alex Gamby's letter to you will also have advised whether you are eligible for a one-off payment to support the purchasing of any PPE you made during the lockdown period.  It is based on the number of children you cared for during Lockdown and you will receive the one-off payment directly into the account into which KCC pays your Free Entitlement funding. In order that you can identify the payment when you receive your BACS Remittance Advice, the Invoice Reference Number will be made up of the following:

  • URN_(URN number)_PPE_(Date)
  • For example: URN_123456_PPE_08092020

The payment will be credited during November so as not to affect any final furlough payments you may be receiving from the Government.
