Maths Conference 2021: Maths Makes Sense! Making the Connections in Primary Mathematics

Event Date: November 2021

Maths is an interconnected subject - at least that's what it says in the National Curriculum. However, spotting the connections can often seem challenging for teachers and impossible for pupils. This year's Primary Maths Conference will explore connections in mathematics - the obvious and the not so obvious. It will consider the impact of making connections both for planning curriculum coverage and for raising attainment and accelerating progress, not to mention boosting confidence and the feeling of success amongst pupils.

We have an exciting and varied line up this year for this online conference:

  • Rob Eastaway, renowned author of books including 'Maths for Mums and Dads'
  • Dr Sue Gifford, Professor Emeritus and Early Years expert
  • Claire Christie who voices the new NCETM exemplification videos and is the founder of Number Sense Maths
  • Amy How, author and advocate of the Rekenrek
  • Katie Crozier, creator of the Numberlink boards
  • James Aylott, the man behind Number Stacks
  • Andy Salmon (aka Sir Linkalot) a man who likes to link…a LOT!

There will be six live sessions and one pre-recorded sessions which all booked and confirmed delegates will be given all links to.
