Humanities Conference: Deepening and Connecting Knowledge

The next steps for your school humanities curriculum - a half day conference for primary school middle/senior leaders of history, geography and whole-school curriculum leaders.


This brand new half day conference will be an opportunity to hear from 2 highly acclaimed key speakers as well having the opportunity to hear from Kent schools with established humanities curricula about their curriculum journeys to date, Ofsted experiences and future plans.

Our first Keynote Anthony Barlow is Principal Teaching Fellow and subject leader for Geography Education at the University of Roehampton.  He teaches on ITE courses as part of the undergraduate and PGCE programmes and is the academic lead for the BA Primary Education QTS programme.

Our closing keynote is from Stuart Tiffany (mrtdoeshistory.com).  Stuart is an experienced teacher and primary history specialist. He supports schools across the country developing their history provision and has written for many large companies including the BBC, Pearson and Hodder. Pedagogically, Stuart is a passionate advocate for high-quality provision based around historical enquiry, underpinned by chronology while still retaining the joy of the primary phase model!
