English Conference 2021: Catching up with Vocabulary

Event Date: October 2021

This year's online Primary English Conference will address the impact of lengthy school closures on children’s vocabulary, considering ways to help your pupils get back on track with their vocabulary development and depth of understanding about how words work.

Our much sought-after presenters will offer a range of high-quality, aspirational guidance, to support schools to meet this challenge.

We are delighted to welcome the following presenters:

  • Pie Corbett, celebrated writer of the Talk for Writing approach, writer of children’s poetry and short stories, and education adviser for Literacy
  • Rebecca Cosgrave, lead adviser with Babcock LDP and writer of the popular No Nonsense programmes, together with a suite of materials to boost vocabulary development
  • Paul Cookson, an inspiring poet who effortlessly brings poetry to life for children, and compiler of the popular primary resource book ‘The Works’
  • Andy Salmon (aka Sir Linkalot), writer of an inspirational spelling programme which aims to address those hard-to-spell words, - with Susie Dent, Sir Linkalot’s Lexicographer.

There will be five live sessions to which all booked and confirmed delegates will be given all links.
