Catch Up Curriculum Toolkit

Resources and Strategies to Help Pupils Catch Up and Get Back on Track

Having missed up to six months of formal face to face teaching due to COVID-19, it is inevitable that some pupils will have lost more learning time than others and fallen behind their peers.

To address this challenge and ensure that pupils recover from this sustained period of interrupted learning, we have developed a range of packages incorporating online CPD, documents and presentation slides. They provide ideas and guidance on how to help fill the gaps in pupils’ learning in Maths and English, along with webinars delivered by leading educational luminaries, offering practical advice at an affordable price.

  • Key Note Bundle consists of four webinars, each date delivered by one of four outstanding reputable speakers: Dylan William, Shirley Clarke, Barry Hymer and Harry Fletcher-Wood.
  • Specialist Topics Bundle created specifically by our experts in The Education People, covering the following topics: The Place of Representation and Structure in Supporting Closing Gaps, Developing Conceptual Fluency Using Knowledge Organisers, Growing Metacognitive Learners in Primary Maths and English and Oracy Rescue 2020.
  • Middle and Senior Leaders Webinars  contains three webinars covering: Understanding Formative Assessment, Reconnect, Restore and Recover: English Part Two and Identifying and Planning for Misconceptions and Gaps in Mathematical Knowledge and Understanding: Part Two.
